Francisco Mendina

Research Assistant (University of Western Ontario)

Francisco graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor's degree in life sciences and the University of Western Ontario with a Master's degree in Management of Applied Sciences in Global Health Systems. His area of interest is investigating the humanitarian healthcare providers' conceptions and practices of solidarity. His prior experience is in program evaluation, education, and service delivery. 

Francisco worked for HIV/AIDS Support Services as a program coordinator before starting his PhD studies. In this capacity, he oversaw project planning, individual case management, and health promotion initiatives including organizing and leading community education workshops. 

He is currently a Doctoral student in Health Information Science at the University of Western Ontario, where he is currently involved on a project that intends to investigate the understandings and practices of solidarity in Francophone Africa.
