Mary Ntochukwu Ndu

Mary Ntochukwu Ndu is a current Ph.D. (a.b.d) and a Global Health fellow at Western University in London, Ontario Canada. She has a Master in Public Health from the University of Essex and BA (Hons) from Anglia Ruskin University in UK. She has over six years’ experience working as a public health program manager in Nigeria designing, implementing, and evaluating maternal and child programs and family planning interventions. Mary is interested in the people centered policy development and the role health beneficiaries can play in policy formulation and implementation. Her research areas cut across various aspects of the health system, gender, health policy, and health access. She is a qualitative researcher with experience conducting research using various qualitative methodologies. She also has experience conducting quantitative research using a mixed method research methodology. Her desire is driven by the need to amplify and render the voices of the marginalized to inform policy and program development which takes a bottom-up approach to addressing health inequities. On the solidarity project, she works as the Solidarity Research Manager at Western University supporting the co-PI, Dr. Elysée Nouvet. Her responsibilities include supporting design of the qualitative study protocol, qualitative study oversight as well as literature-based data collection and analysis.
