Athanasius Afful
Research Assistant
Mr. Athanasius Afful is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Ghana. He has had prior training in Philosophy, Sociology and Religions, and Education with the University of Ghana, the University of Education, Winneba, and the Pontifical Urban University. His research interests include ethics of the use of Artificial Intelligence in medical practice and research and Philosophy of Mind. He serves as a Research Assistant on the Wellcome Trust Discovery Award project on Solidarity in Global Health. He brings his knowledge and insights in philosophy to bear on the project by actively contributing to the analysis and understanding of the conceptualisation of solidarity and how these could inform the development of global solidarity actionable tools.
