The Moving Beyond Solidarity Rhetoric in Global Health team members attended and played varying roles at the Oxford Global Health & Bioethics International Conference 2023 which took place on 26th and 27th June 2023 at the Keble College in Oxford University, United Kingdom. Outstanding for the Global Health Solidarity team was the workshop held on the Global Health Solidarity Project.

In the workshop organized by the team at the conference with over 50 participants taking part in a world cape group discussion.

The participants were introduced to our Global Health Solidarity Project and offered to share their thoughts on the topic What is solidarity in Global Health and how can it be made actionable? Professors Caesar Atuire, Jantina De Vries, Bridget Pratt, Elysee Nouvet, and Gabriela Arguedas led the cafe discussions with support from Dr. Samuel Asiedu Owusu, Ms. Agathine Asamaoning, Mr. Elias Wiess, Ms. Mary Ndu and Dr. Anye Nyamnjoh. In this workshop, they explored the key elements that can contribute to a better conceptualization of solidarity and listed some areas and voices that are underrepresented or marginalized in mainstream bioethics and global health discourse on solidarity.
