GHS Ambassadors

The GH-Solidarity Ambassador Programme (GH-SAP)

Reimagining the Future of Global Health through Youth-Led Solidarity

Young people aren’t just the future of global health, they are its present. The Global Health Solidarity Ambassador Programme (GH-SAP) is a youth-led initiative under the Moving Beyond Solidarity in Global Health (Global Health Solidarity Project), designed to empower young changemakers to lead community-based health efforts rooted in solidarity, inclusivity, and shared responsibility.

This programme was officially introduced during our workshop at the 2025 International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT), hosted in partnership with the United Nations Independent Expert on International Solidarity. It brought together students and young professionals from around the world to explore how solidarity can transform global health systems, not just in policy rooms, but in everyday lives and local communities.

The Goal

The ultimate goal of the Solidarity Ambassador Programme is to reshape the future of global health by cultivating a new generation of leaders who not only believe in solidarity, but practise it. We aim to build a movement that replaces symbolic inclusion with real agency, and transforms empathy into collective action.

 Who are Solidarity Ambassadors?

Solidarity Ambassadors are young leaders, early career professionals, students or members of the communities (aged 18-35) from diverse backgrounds worldwide who are committed to making a positive impact on individual and collective well-being. The ambassadors are passionate about using their skills, experience, resources, and knowledge to initiate, co-design, and take responsible actions that promote solidarity in global health, starting within their own communities.
