The Global Health Solidarity Network (GHSN) an independent association of individual researchers, health practitioners, students as well as civil society organizations, donors, non-governmental organizations, private and public sectors from any part of the world. The members are knitted together by their firm belief in making the world a better place for all its inhabitants through the practice of solidarity, especially as it relates to issues that affect global health.
The Network seeks to provide a platform for its members and their affiliates to share information, new knowledge, views and experiences as well as network through our activities such as conferences, workshops, seminars, short courses, publications and public lectures.
Key activities: Meetings, virtual workshops, webinars, Forums, round tables, seminars, and conferences.
Objectives
The Global Health Solidarity Network was formed with the following objectives in mind;
- Raise awareness on the role of solidarity in Global Health.
- Capacity Building: Develop and provide actionable tools and training programs that empower actors to implement solidarity focused initiatives.
- Knowledge sharing and networking: Establish forums for exchanging research, best practices, and innovative approaches to solidarity in global health.
- Policy Advocacy: Coordinate efforts to influence policy frameworks that embed solidarity as a core value in health governance at global, regional and national levels
Membership is free and open at any time to any interested sentient human being on the surface of the earth.
