Marlise Richter
Senior Researcher (University of Cape Town)
Marlise has worked in the health, human rights and social justice field for over twenty years and has served in a number of key South African NGOs. She holds an LLM degree from Wits University (South Africa), an MA in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame (USA) as a Fulbright scholar, and a PhD in public health from the International Centre for Reproductive Health at the University of Ghent (Belgium). Her research and advocacy focuses on sex work health and human rights and the criminalisation of poverty.
She is currently working within the broad areas of research ethics with particularly marginalised groups and solidaristic practices.
