Zaida Orth
Postdoctoral Fellow (University of Cape Town)
Zaida Orth is a postdoctoral fellow at the EthicsLab, contributing to the Global Health Solidarity Project. Guided by interdisciplinary and feminist approaches, her research spans gender, HIV, adolescent mental health, and health systems strengthening, leveraging evidence to inform capacity building, advocacy and policy for transformative change. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH), where she worked as part of a multi-regional research consortium consolidating promising practices for sustaining gender integration in health programs and policies. Zaida holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of the Western Cape. She is part of the 2022 Emerging Voices for Global Health cohort and serves on the steering committee of Health Systems Global’s (HSG) Gender and Health Systems Thematic Working Group (TWG).
