Moving Beyond Solidarity Rhetoric in Global Health Project Inception meeting was successfully held on 28th and 29th June 2023 at Rewley House (Stopforth Metcalfe Room), Oxford University, United Kingdom. The meeting enabled the project team members to conclude on the project activities for the next two years (2023-2024), arrived at key implementation deadlines for the various activities and provided an opportunity for the team members to socialize and get to know each other better.

Alongside the discussions and activity scheduling, Professors Nouvet and Atuire made insightful presentations on some conceptual understandings of pluriversality while Prof. Prainsack and Mr. Athanasius Afful presented on the concept of solidarity. Relatedly, Mr. Elias presented a novel topic on parasitic solidarity.

Our invited guest, Dr. Alice Norton, Head of GloPID R, Research and Policy team, shared with our team her rich knowledge and experiences on issues that border on the various activities of global health funders and how they might benefit from the key findings of our solidarity in global health project.
